Chiropractic for back pain in Moore, OK

The stiff mornings, the careful way you get out of the truck, the chores you quietly stopped doing. Back pain shrinks your life a little at a time, and waiting it out is the plan that fails most often.

Underneath the ache

What causes low back pain?

In Dr. Edwards' words: it's important to focus on what's causing the issue, not the issue itself. These are the patterns an exam most often uncovers.

Hours that add up

Desks, truck cabs, and phone screens hold the spine in one shape for most of the day. Joints that stop moving well recruit everything around them to compensate.

Lifts and twists

One awkward lift rarely ruins a healthy back. It usually finds a segment that was already restricted and pushes it past what it could absorb.

Old injuries, new pain

A fall, wreck, or sports injury from years ago can quietly change how you move. The ache that shows up later often sits a level above or below the original problem.

Nerve pressure

When a shifted segment puts pressure on a nerve, pain travels: into the hip, down the leg, across the low back. Where you feel it is not always where it starts.

No guessing

How do we find the cause?

A full history, a hands-on examination of how each spinal segment moves, and on-site X-rays when they are clinically indicated. Dr. Edwards reviews everything with you personally before any adjustment, so you can picture exactly what is going on in your own spine and why it hurts where it does.

Care is hands-on manual adjusting, gentle and specific, with frequency that tapers as your body holds the changes. Progress is measured by your life, not our charts: sleeping through the night, sitting through a movie, lifting your kids without bracing for it.

Pain that has been around for years has its own page: chiropractic for chronic pain.

The honest version

What about medication or surgery?

Conservative, hands-on care is a reasonable place to start for most mechanical back pain, and it is what we do. It is not what everyone needs. When an exam shows something that belongs with a physician, a surgeon, or imaging beyond our scope, we say so plainly and refer you. You will never be talked out of medical care here, and chiropractic care never replaces it.

Stop planning your day around your back
